Sitting on 30 acres boarding Lake Isabella , "Eagles Nest" is a one story, beautifully decorated home. Living room has a huge beamed ceiling with a hand crafted stone fireplace. The house is built around a private gated courtyard with fireplace, barbecue, and garden. Most of the time there is a Lake view from every room but as the valley needs irrigation from the lake, the lake can fluctuate and be very low or not in front of our home. There are two marinas to launch your boat. Boat rentals, river rafting, horse back riding, & hiking. Ski lifts are about 30-40 min drive in the winter, plenty of restaurants, very quiet & private, yet market and shopping areas within 10 minuets. River rafting in Kernville is fabulous. There is also a slower moving river in the town that smaller children can go down with an inflatable tire, "tubing". You can also have a picnic there and enjoy your day going down the river. There are some great barbecue restaurants and also vegetarian options at most restaurants. The old town has antique shops and other shopping as well. A fun place to go.

PLEASE NOTE: We have a terrific, professional cleaning crew. But this cabin sits on 1.3 acres of beautiful, rural foothills, and occasionally nature visits the cabin. So if an occasional spider, ant, or other critter really freaks you out, you might want to consider elsewhere, because we can't guarantee an atmosphere as sterile as a Manhattan skyscraper! But that's why we love it here and we hope you will too. We've enjoyed 10 years in this cabin and have never come to harm by Mother Nature.

This private, owner-occupied home with a 1500 sq. ft. guest area sits right on the banks of the Kern River. You will have a PRIVATE DOWNSTAIRS GUEST SUITE, ACCESSED THROUGH OWNERS FRONT ENTRY, with two bedrooms and a large living area opening directly onto the deck, with river/beach access for swimming, tubing, rafting & kayaking, when river conditions permit. HOWEVER: The Kern river can be dangerous, particularly in times of high flow, and access to the beach & river from our deck is over rocky & uneven ground. Guests must sign a LIABILITY WAIVER and utilize these amenities at their own risk. We make no assurances of safety. If guests do choose to go into the river, mid to late summer is usually the best time for leisurely swimming and tubing, when the water flows are lower. In times of high flows, it is a perfect launch or take-out spot for experienced rafters and kayakers. Again, any activity on a wild, whitewater river can be dangerous and guest must assume responsibility for the safety of themselves and those in their charge. Parents or responsible adults must supervise any minors when they are utilizing the beach, river or hot tub. Enjoy the beach and river during the day, and campfires and smores in the evenings after a fun day on the river and/or a fine, romantic dinner on the deck, provided by one of several local restaurants. It has a loft with a comfy queen sized bed, a private bathroom with shower, and tons of windows to enjoy the many gorgeous views! Spirit Walk is a completely private and secluded property nestled in the beautiful foothills of the Sequoia National Forest. This magical property is set among oaks and pines and feels like a million miles away, yet it is only a 3 hour drive North from Los Angeles. You'll enjoy full access to the cabin and outdoor areas which include a beautiful shared fire pit and outdoor kitchen. We also have 12 campsites and a second bathroom available for rent at additional cost, with plenty of fresh, clean spring water to enjoy nice hot showers. Camping gear is also available for additional fee. Although the kitchen and fire pit areas are shared, the Tiny House is all yours and there are plenty of private spaces on the property. We're always available if you have any questions or need any advice about the area. Quiet time is 10:00pm - 9:00am. Other things to note There are plates, bowls, cups, and silverware in the Playhouse, but no cooking is allowed inside. There are a few pots and pans in the bear box in the kitchen area. There is a stove, and a sink for clean up. No refrigerator, and no oven. There’s a grill that you can use over the fire pit if you have something to BBQ. You are welcome to use wood from the pile by the fire pit. We just ask that you pay for the wood that you burn. ($5 per bundle.)

The apartment is light, clean and a roomy area. It does not have a full kitchen. There is a refrigerator, hot plate, toaster, toaster oven, microwave and coffee maker. Dishes can be hand washed in bathroom sink or given to owner to wash in dishwasher. There is a queen size bed in the small bedroom. The couch can sleep one in the livingroom. The second bedroom is not available in the winter months unless special arrangements are made.

Yet even with all that room to spread out in, it is still a convenient 1 mile to shops, grocery, restaurants and 5 minutes to Lake Isabella and the Kern River. Relax at home in Lay-z-boy recliners or the extra long sofa while watching a 55 inch flat screen HDTV and smart Roku player. Choose from numerous streaming channels including free Netflix and Hulu. A climate controlled environment with either central air conditioning or heating will keep you comfortable regardless of the season. No pullouts in common areas here. Even with large groups of 8, everyone gets a real bed in a private/semi-private bedroom. Sleep in comfort on Serta Beautyrest beds or even a Tempur-pedic adjustable bed Gather ingredients from the Vons one mile away and cook your favorite recipes in the extra large kitchen. In addition to the two outdoor eating areas, there is also an indoor dining area, an eat-in kitchen, and a kitchen bar for two.

The Green Cabin @ Stoney Pines is 1 of 3 buildings available for rent on our beautiful 4 acre property. This 1950's style cabin has one bedroom with a queen bed and a covered porch with a queen bed and a day bed with 2 twins. The Green Cabin has a full kitchen and the main room is designed around a wood fire burning pot belly stove that warms the cabin during winter. During summer the A/C unit in the main room cools the large area and porch, whereas the A/C unit in the bedroom keeps the bedroom very cool. This cabin is part of our 4 acre property that can be rented individually or all together. When rented individually please know that the BBQ area between the cabins is a shared space. Also, please respect the neighbors, both other renters and those who live in the area, by not being to noisy after 10 PM.

Each of the bedrooms has a queen bed and an independent bathroom with showers. The master bathroom also has a claw-footed for a long soak after a long hiking day. Basic toiletries are provided (ie shampoo, conditioner, soap). Towels and linen are also provided. Both the dining area and living room have comfy couches to lounge on. The dining area has a dining table, capable of seating 5 people. Cushioned bar stools are arranged at the kitchen island. There is a 60" UHD 4k TV with cable and a host of movie channels (ie NETFIX, Amazon Prime, Hulu) for those that want a "Movie And Popcorn Night". For winter guests, there are two sources of heat: a pellet stove and gas wall heater. And for summer guests, a swamp cooler and circulation fans provide cooling. The kitchen comes equipped with a fridge/freezer combo, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, pantry area and cabinets stocked with cook and drink ware. Additionally, there is an out building behind the house that has its own washer and dryer. And the patio area has a lighted entertainment bar area for relaxing out under the stars. Please note that there is a soak tub in the back yard but it is currently out of order (sorry!). The tub will be empty but still be mindful of small children in and around the back patio area. I am preparing Yellow Jacket to allow your furry family member to be guests as well but there are a few provisions that need to be in place before we can allow them to come. So, NO PETS at this time.

This 4 acre property is ideal for all sized families. With a Hacienda style main house, two 1950's style cabins and a large BBQ area everyone will be able to have their own space while still being close to the fun. The Hacienda style main house is 1700 sqft and sleeps 6. The "Green Cabin" is 650 sqft and sleeps 6. The "Red Cabin" is 300 sqft and sleeps 4. The entire property is $500 a night for all three dwellings.
